Sweet random accidents
Sth old, sth new, sth GREEN
The green things in the first pic are made in 2010. When I came back from Germany, I had a huge urge to knit and I made these perhaps in the first week after arriving. I think the patterns for both the scarf and the fingerless mitts are from Ravelry. The pattern in the scarf is just ribbing and those “leaves” weren’t even tough ones to knit. Just increasing and then decreasing edge stiches. I bought the button from one of my deco artist acquaintance :) The pattern in the mitts is simple waffle pattern.
I wanted to knit cable pattern after a while and found some nice knits from Novita’s magazine from 2010. The pattern in the beanie is a bit different than in the mitts. More holes. In the beanie, I screwed up the binding a little bit (decreased too late) and now there’s a tiny lump at the top. First I was about to frog it, but then I thought it looked so ridiculously cute :D

These are some second-hand vintage clothes I refashioned.
1. In the warehouse putting some Christmas stuff back wearing the navy blue skirt with big pockets and grid pattern.
This dress is probably not that old, maybe from the 80′s. I took the skirt a bit in. The hem was also a way too long so I took it up. I had to buy this because of the grid pattern on the pockets <3 Dark blue has also made a come-back.
2. In my balcony checking out the damages of a snow storm wearing the turquoise dress.
This dress is my diamond. It’s hand made perhaps by some big sized granny. The hem reached nearly my ankles, the dress had big sleeves and it was three times bigger than my average size. I took it in quite much, removed the sleeves and shortened the hem. I also had to make some new pleats on the chest. It turned out perfect! I love it, the pattern in the cloth and the color and the little bow in the collar. I’m planning to make a bag of the huge sleeves.
3. Potting some seedlings wearing the green woolen pleated skirt.
In this skirt the hem was also too long. I can’t really wear any other than midi dresses or a bit shorter ones. This dress was also a bit too big, so I took a risk and machine-washed it. Now it’s comfortable but not too saggy. And it has buttons <3

This is a collage of the pastries on which I’m hooked nowadays.
1. Mud cake. To my big astonishment I found out after many curious experiments that the most delicious mud cake is actually the one that has no chocolate in it. Only a lot of cocoa, sugar, fat and a little bit flour and an egg. The cake is featuring ice cream and one of my favorite mugs with a knitting bunny.
2. Huge American Cookies. I used to dis baking cookies because they were always disappointments: I burned them or the taste was just shitty. I love these. They are not supposed to be so big but I’m a lazy baker. And just the thought of having a chocolate cookie bigger than the flat of my hand is causing a long mmmmmmmmmmmmm. The thing in this recipe is to use at least two sorts of chocolate and brown sugar.
3. Sikke Sumari’s white chocolate mud cake. My Mom tried this out one time and we both liked it. Actually I fell in love. The recipe is very easy to convert: you can add different dried or fresh fruits or berries or nuts. I think the most lovely outcomes have been with dried cranberries and fresh blueberries.

I bumbed into this group in 2008, when I was singing in a choir and we practiced the song called Mr. Sandman. I searched the song from the web and found the version of the Puppini Sisters. I fell in love! And the style. It’s Awesome.

The video is a medley of their most popular songs.

Here’s some more:

Grace Kelly originally by MIKA

I will survive. They’re really good performers and they seem to communicate with their audience so well. “Why are you cheering?” “You sick bastards!” :D I wish I could see them live some day!

I feel pretty from their newest album.

I’ve been inspired of collars (especially lace collars) for a while now. These are so lovely that they’re already ridicilous :D

This week I found a perfect white second hand shirt with a high lace turtle neck. I should take some photos.

maria-neiti recommended American Horror Story and I watched the first season a month ago. The creepiest scenes were the ones with the rubber man. I got a deco book themed fetishes and I knew right away what to do with it.

This is one of the creepiest deco entries I’ve ever made but it has gained already some positive attention. What’s wrong with you people? Wait, what’s wrong with me?

I’ve felt like this during the whole week. Thank goodness it’s Monday soon :D

Brandon was so upset that he didn’t get his way, he took his blanket and went home.

A kind of white version of a mudcake. I adore this cake!

The adventures of Mr. Puffy the Bunny Slayer

Oh no! The charm of Tumblr grew too strong! I’ve got a blog already but couldn’t keep my hands off. I’m not yet sure what I’m going to post here, maybe just some random stuff. I would also like to reblog things that have influenced me somehow.

Here’s the first random thing. A poncho knit I made as a birthday present. The recipient said one day that he would like to have a poncho like Clint Eastwood. I wasn’t sure if he was serious or not but I made one for him.Mr. Puffy
