Sweet random accidents

Me alive. Me try blog. Me take photos. Me trendy.

What the fuck has been happening during the last six months? I’ve been so lazy with everything I used to love. After work I just go to the gym or to Russian class (or to Chewbacca’s place) and then I go home and just die.

Well anyway. I’m Jaana and I’m still a clothaholic. (Which means I like clothes even though I don’t really care about photographing myself. So this is not about my pear body. Just focus on the god damn clothes.)

I’ve been cleaning up my closets again and realised that some clothes would be so much more wearable if they were in different colour.

Like that Marimekko’s Unikko jacket. Yup. Don’t ask why I own that (well, it was a gift!). Unikko is probably one of the most horrible patterns there is. I like yellow but in more simple way, like in shoes or bags or scarfs. Not in huge flowery patterns. So, I put it into washing machine with Dylon’s black dying powder, and ooh lalaa. Say hello to my new spring jacket.

The safari dress under the new jacket with attitude is also dyed. Before blackening it looked like this which actually is not that bad. For some reason I just didn’t feel like wearing it. Everything looks so much better in black, just can’t help it.

And the shoes. I used to wear those with my black winter jacket and white hat and white gloves. Now I just look at them and ask why. White high heels seem so white trash. (They go so well with leggings covered ass, see! Actually my butt was not meant to be in the pic but I think it makes the point even more clear.) So, I bought some leather paint and sprayed them awesome, muahhahhahaa. They would look better with another paint layer, though.

Also light blue lace vest looks less 90′s and less nerdy (in a wrong way) when it’s black. And I wasn’t trying to have porn star lips, my mouth is usually open when I’m trying to focus which means I often look very stupid.

And OMG, my boot earrings are now such a true match with my old new shoes.

Yeah. That’s all.

I’m trying to do some decos, so maybe I have something to blog soon. (Yeah right.)

And I really should clean up my balcony because it’s so warm that you can actually hang around there already! :)

This post is about the Monster Mittens!
For a couple of years I’ve wanted to try felting or at least fulling. I thought mittens would be the easiest start.
And these were very simple to make, indeed. It was just so weird to knit such freaking enormous mittens. It felt like knitting for a behemoth or something.
After knitting the mittens went to the washing machine with a towel and shrank into the perfect human size. I was a bit surprised how nice these turned out.
The pattern and the yarn were from Novita.

Project home.
Finally after two years of planning I managed to order some prints of my own photos. The motivator was a white, empty wall and a lot of new space. I wanted to make a picture collage. Some of the pics are old though, and that bunny painting is by Cocodeparis.
The stand is from flea market. I’m thinking of painting it black. The orange-red small cabinet is some free stuff my parents came across. I think I let it be the way it is.
Today me and Mom went to buy some flowers and plants. Now I have a lot of new living things to abuse. (Mom bought everything <3 ;___; I really should get/do something as nice to her when she turns 50 later this year.)
The plant on the cabinet is ancient though. In my last apartment the plant was on the edge of starvation but I hope it likes its new environment.
That empty space is for tv. Wonder when I feel like buying it. Or have the money.

OMG I’m so hooked. I should have done a lot of stuff today but I just sat in the kitchen, listened some music and enjoyed learning the pattern and tangling the yarn <3

29. Your favourite weather.
I’m late because I found this theme so god damn dull. I was just about to draw a weather forecast cloud and sun, when I got reminded of an incident that happened a couple of years ago in Germany. It was a beautiful day and we planned to make a bicycle trip through some fields. Just before we got to the lake where we were supposed to duck, a terrible thunderstorm or tempest met us. We hurried back to get some shelter from some of the farms nearby. As we pedaled in the incredibly harsh wind, rain and hailstones, I suddenly started to laugh. I laughed so hard that it was even more difficult to ride the freaking bike! I found the situation so randomly absurd :DD When we got to the farm, even my underwear was soking wet. So, when it comes to my reaction, my favourite weather is a thunderstorm seasoned with some nasty hail.
(I’m still quite a normal human being, really.)
The pic is made with Gimp because I’m already in bed and didn’t feel like getting the pens.

28. A room.
This theme was perfect yesterday as I was wondering how to arrange my furniture. So this is actually a plan. But it has rooms in it :D (Ok, I drew also my kitchen yesterday but it sucked.)

27. Your favourite scene from a movie.
This was a hard one and I was lacking all my stuff (they were in my new flat and I was staying that night at my parents’ place). So blue pen and printing paper that is.
This should be the “Thresh killing Clove” scene from the Hunger Games. I’m way too old to like that film but I do! I liked it so much that I went to see it twice! The story has something really fascinating in it. I have the books and I’m going to finish the first one soon.
And the actual scene is very…. satisfying.
